Comet Women's Basketball uses strong fourth quarter to defeat Mustangs

Bellevue, Neb.. – The Mayville State University Women's Basketball team defeated Mount Mercy by a final score of 66-69 on Wednesday afternoon. The Comets improve to 9-2 overall and will play #15 Clarke University tomorrow at 1:00 PM at Bellevue, Nebraska.

How It Happened:
The Comets out-scored the Mustangs in the first quarter by a score of 20-14. In quarter-one, MSU shot 58.3 percent from the field, 60.0 percent from behind the arc, seven rebounds, and dished out four assists.
Mount Mercy out-scored the Comets in the second quarter 15-6 and took a three-point line into the intermission. The Comets shot 17.6 percent from the field, 0-11 from behind the 3-point line, and 11 rebounds.
