Women's Basketball finishes the regular season at Presentation Thursday

Mayville, N.D. – The Mayville State University Women's Basketball team finishes the regular season on the road Thursday night at Presentation College. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM against the Saints.

The Mayville State University women's basketball enters the final game of the regular season with a 12-7 overall record and 7-6 in conference play.
The Comets currently sit in fourth place in the conference behind Viterbo one game for third place. MSU would secure fourth place with a win on Thursday at Presentation College.
Mayville State went 1-1 last weekend at the Lewy Lee Fieldhouse dropping Friday's game with Viterbo by a final score of 53-56 and defeating Waldorf on Saturday by a final score of 70-44.
The Comets are averaging 66.4 points per game, shooting 43.2 percent from the field, 31.3 percent from the 3-point line, 60.3 percent from the free-throw line, and tallying 12.9 assists per game.
Defensively, the Comets are allowing 58.8 points per game, 36.5 percent from the field, 30.5 percent from the 3-point line, 32.5 rebounds per game, and forcing 17.4 turnovers per game.
Jordan Zrust is leading the conference averaging 19.5 points per game, 7.3 rebounds, shooting 49.6 percent from the field, and recording 42 total steals on the season.
Danneka Voegeli is second on the team tallying 13.5 points per game, 6.9 rebounds per game, 53.3 field goal percentage, and 30 blocks on the year.
CJ Decker is leading the team with 68 total assists on the season, 25 steals, and 6.4 points per game.
Kayla Rocholl is tied for a team-high 19 3-pointers made on the year shooting 35.2 percent from behind the 3-point line.
The Comets were selected fifth in the NSAA Preseason Coaches' Poll with 27 points, Bellevue was selected first in the poll with 60 points.

Matching up with the Saints:
Presentation College enters the matchup with the Comets with a 2-22 overall record and 1-12 in NSAA play.
This will be the third meeting between the two teams, Mayville State won the first two meetings of the season.
The Saints are averaging 53.2 points per game, shooting 35.1 percent from the field, 27.5 percent from the 3-point line, 35.0 rebounds per game, and dishing out 8.5 assists per game.
