Comet Women's Basketball cruises to victory over rival Vikings Saturday

Mayville, N.D. – The Mayville State Women's Basketball team had a strong first and third quarter in route to an 87-53 victory over rival Vikings.

How It Happened:
Mayville State started the game strong as they made four three-pointers over the first five minutes of the game and went on a 22-4 run that lasted over seven minutes of gameplay.
Mayville State would take a 25-12 lead over one-quarter of play. Valley City State would continue to fight in the second quarter and would cut the MSU lead to six points with 5:28 left in the first half.
The Comets would go on another run late in the first half and would take a double-digit lead heading into the halftime break.
