Mayville, N.D. – The Mayville State University Men's Basketball team dropped a conference matchup shorthanded on Saturday by a final score of 60-63.

How It Happened:
Viterbo V-Hawks started the game on an 8-2 run that lasted over the first four minutes of the game. VU would continue to hold that lead for until the 4:25 mark of the first half when MSU took the lead on a 3-point basket by Ketchel to take the lead.
The last four minutes of the first half went back-and-forth and we ended the first half of the game exactly how we started the game tied at 34.
In the first half, MSU shot 34.6 percent from the field, 46.7 percent from behind the 3-point line, pulled in 24 rebounds, and dished out eight assists on nine made field goals.
After the V-Hawks took a four-point lead early in the second half but Mayville State would grab the lead shortly after that on a Kramer 3-point basket.
MSU would hold that lead for the next five minutes of the game and extend that lead to eight with 10:19 left in the game. It was a two possession game for the next seven minutes of game time before Viterbo cut the lead to two with 1:46 left in the game.
After a three-point basket by Viterbo gave them the lead, MSU would turn the ball over with seven seconds left. Two made free-throws later, MSU had one more chance with six seconds left but the 3-point attempt would fall short.
For the game, Mayville State would shoot 33.3 percent from the field, 34.5 percent from behind the 3-point line, pulled in 42 rebounds, dished out 13 assists, and forced 5 turnovers on the V-Hawks.
