Mayville, N.D. – The Mayville State Women's Basketball team opens the 2022-23 season on Thursday evening at the University of Jamestown with tip-off scheduled for 6:00 pm.

The Mayville State Comets enter the season after posting a 20-7 overall record last season and 11-3 in conference play.

The Comets averaged 71.0 points per game, shooting 43.5 percent from the field, 31.4 percent from behind the 3-point line, 39.6 rebounds per game, 12.9 assists per game, and 9.1 steals per game.

Opponents averaged 56.5 points per game last season, shooting 34.8 percent from the field, 28.7 percent from behind the 3-point line, and 36.0 rebounds per game.

Opponents averaged 64.7 points per game, shot 39.5 percent from the field, pulled in 33.6 rebounds per game, dished out 12.0 assists per game, and forced 6.9 steals per game.
