How It Happened:
With a little over seven minutes left in the first half, MSU was trailing by five when the Comets tied the game at 23 but gave the lead right back up.
Mayville State would make the comeback a few minutes later down three points and would finish the half up five points.
The Comets picked up right where they left off in the first half jumping out to an 11-point lead and would extend it to 14 a few minutes later.
The Comets were up double digits for the majority of the second half and would cruise to a 12-point victory on Thursday.
Mayville State would finish the game shooting 50.0 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from behind the 3-point line, recorded 37 rebounds, 50 points in the paint, 19 bench points, and 15-second chance points.
