Five Comets in double figures in victory over Warriors Saturday

Forest City, Iowa – The Mayville State Men's Basketball scored 52 points in the second half to help Comets cruise to a 90-69 victory over the Waldorf Warriors Saturday.

How It Happened:
The Comets were only up one with 13:06 left in the first half, before a 10-0 run to jump out to a 11-point lead on the Warriors.
Waldorf would answer right back on an 8-0 run to cut the Comet lead to three-points with 5:59 remaining in the first half. Mayville State would take a six-point lead heading into the intermission.
The Comets would slowly extend their lead in the second half as they would get out to a 15-point lead on a Gieske 3-pointer with 13:39 remaining in the game. Franklin would continue to help MSU extend the lead to 20-points with 8:05 left in the game.
Kramer would put the finishing touches on the game with 2:12 left in the game on his dunk that put the Comets up 25-points and would pick up the conference victory.
The Comets would finish the game shooting 52.8 percent from the field, 29.0 percent from behind the 3-point line, pulling in 33 rebounds and dishing out 24 assists. They also finished with 52 points in the paint, 23 bench points, 19 points off turnovers, 13 second-chance points, and 4 fast break points.
