Softball drops NSAA doubleheader against Vikings Thursday

Valley City, N.D. – The Mayville State University Softball team dropped two games to Valley City State on Thursday afternoon by a final score of 0-8 and 4-10.

How It Happened: Game One
The Valley City State Vikings started the scoring in the second inning with a two-run home run to give them the early lead.
Valley City would add two more runs in the bottom of the third inning and continue to score runs as they win by a final score of 8-0.

How It Happened: Game Two
Valley City State started the scoring in game two by scoring two runs to take the early lead on the Comets. MSU would answer with one run in the top of the second inning by a rbi groundout from Howell that scored Tingey. Later in the inning, Howell scored on a wild pitch to tie the game at two.
In the third inning, MSU would take a two-run lead on a single from Tingey that scored Duval and Larkin. The Vikings would answer in the third, fifth, and sixth inning to pick up the sweep on Thursday.
