Greenberg pitched a complete game to force a split with #7 Bruins

Omaha, Neb. – Braxton Greenberg pitched a complete Friday afternoon as the Comets split with #7 Bruins and hand them their first conference loss of the season.

How It Happened: Game One
Mayville State jumped out to an early lead in game one off a solo home run in the bottom of the first inning off the bat of Lundmark to make it 1-0 Comets.
The Comets would add two more runs in the bottom of the third inning on a two-run home run off the bat of McCorrister that scored Rocholl to make it a 3-0 lead over the #7 Bruins.
The Bellevue Bruins would have a big fourth inning scoring five runs to take the two-run lead. The Bruins would add three more runs in the top of the sixth inning to extend the lead to five at 3-8. The Comets would cut the lead to four in the eighth inning on an RBI single from McCorrister that scored Villanueva.
Bellevue would add five runs in the top of the ninth inning to extend the lead and take game one by a final score of 4-13.

How It Happened: Game Two
Senden started the scoring in game two for the Comets hitting a 3-run home run that scored Rocholl and Lundmark to give MSU a 3-0 lead after one inning.
The Bruins would answer right back with two home runs in the top of the second inning to tie the game at three.
Mayville state would take the lead in the bottom of the third inning on a single from McCorrister that scored Lundmark to take the lead. Bellevue would take the lead in the top of the fourth inning by scoring two runs to give them the one-run advantage.
Lundmark would score his third run of the game in the fifth inning on a 2-run home run that also scored Villanueva. Braxton Greenberg would pitch a gem against the #7 team in the nation as he would pick up the complete-game victory.
