Mayville, N.D. – The Mayville State Men's Basketball team used a strong second half to defeat the Warriors by a final of 79-75.

How It Happened:
Mayville State started the game up 14-4 with 16:00 minutes left in the first half but the Warriors would fight back and tie the game at 14 with under 10 minutes in the first half. It continued to be a close game throughout the first half and the Warriors were up 2 heading into the intermission.
Mayville State started the second half strong as MSU went on a 14-3 run that last over six minutes of game time. MSU would go on a 12-4 run later in the second half and would extend the lead up to 21 with seven minutes left. With 1:22 left in the game, Gieske would score his 1000 career point on a layup and the Comets would win 79-55.
The Comets would finish the game with a 58.3 percent from the field, 30.0 percent from behind the 3-point line, 37 rebounds, and had 60 points in the paint.
