Bellevue, Neb. – The Comets picked up an overtime win on Friday night against the Bruins 75-72.

How It Happened:
It was a tight game throughout the first half as they had multiple ties but Bellevue held the lead heading into the halftime break.
The Comets started the second half strong jumping out to a three points lead but just like the first half, it was back-and-forth.
Mayville state was trailing by seven with six minutes left and would tie the game with 1:44 remaining in the game. Bellevue would take a 2-point lead with :47 seconds left and a layup by Gieske would tie the game and force overtime.
In overtime, the Comets would jump out to a 5-point lead 1:30 into the extra period. The Bruins would cut it to a 2-point game with :43 second left and a free-throw by the Comets and would give MSU a 3-point victory.
