Aberdeen, S.D. – Comets drop a couple of close games to Saints over the last two days, as Saints sweep Comets.
 
Game One:

Mayville State 1, Presentation College 5
 
The Presentation College Saints started the scoring in the first inning on a 3-run home run to jump out early on the Comets.
The Comets finally got on the board in the sixth inning on a RBI groundout from Johnson that scored Iverson.
PC would answer with two runs in the bottom of the sixth to extend the lead to four and win by that amount.

PC started the scoring in the second game on Sunday but putting two runs up in the first inning.
The Comets would explode for seven runs in the top of the third inning including a grand slam from Roeges to give the Comets their first lead of the day.
The Saints would fight back in the fourth inning by scoring two runs in the fourth inning, one in the fifth, three in the sixth to tie the game at eight, and one in the seventh to walk-off MSU.

The Mayville State Comets started the game on fire, scoring three runs on three hits and jump out to an early lead. The Saints answered with four runs in the bottom of the first and two runs in the bottom of the second.
In the fourth inning, Iverson delivered a clutch hit with two outs in the fourth inning that close the gap to two. PC would answer in the bottom of the inning scoring two more runs to double their lead.
The Comets would score one more run in the top of the fifth inning but could not close the gap anymore and the Saints win game three of the series by three.

The Mayville State Comets started the scoring in the last game of the series on an error by the second baseman that allowed Shumway to score. Presentation would tie the game back up in the bottom of the first inning.
Mayville State was threatening in the top of the third inning with two runner on base with two out but the next batter struck out swinging to end the treat. The Saints would take the lead in the bottom of the inning.
The Comets would have runners in scoring position in the top of the fifth inning with one out but back-to-back outs gets the Saints out of the jam and would add one more run to win by a final of 3-1.
