Mayville, N.D.- The Mayville State Comets get a win on not only senior night, but the last home regular season game for Coach
Scott Berry.

The Comets started off the scoring in the first inning by putting up 6 runs on the board. The Vikings would answer back in the top of the 2nd inning with a two-run home-run to make the score 6-2.
The Comets would answer back in the bottom half of the second inning with a 5 runs to increase their lead to 11-2 led by an
Adam Senden two-run home-run. Mayville state would then extend their lead in the 5th inning after a couple solo home-runs in the inning from Alan Larocque and
Anthony Villanueva and be leading 16-4.
The Vikings would add a couple more runs in the 6th to bring it back to ten but a two-run home-run from Alan Larocque in the bottom half of the 6th inning would be the final score of this one after a ten run rule was placed after seven innings.

Game two was a much lower scoring game for the Comets. They would put up three runs in the 1st inning thanks to doubles from both Jared Mccorrister and
Kole Jessamine. A single from
Ricky Marquez scoring Jessamine would make the lead for the Comets 3-0.
Mayville state would add a run in the 6th to extend their lead to 4-1. A couple of solo home-runs in the top of the 7th by the Vkings would cut the lead to 4-3. But some cluth pitching by DeCaro in the top of the 7th help seal a victory for the Comets.

Game one on Sunday was a long one as there was lots of scoring from both teams. The Comets got the scoring started in the bottom of the 1st thanks to a three-run home-run from
Kole Jessamine to the Comets a 3-0 lead. The Vikings would answer back with a Grand Slam in top of the 3rd to give them a 6-3 lead.
The Vikings would hit back to back home runs in top of the 5th to give themselves a 9-4 lead. Mayville state would score four runs to cut the Viking lead to 9-8. The Vikings would score four runs of their own to answer to extend their lead back to 13-8.
The Comets would score six in the bottom of the 7th inning thanks to a two-run single into center field from
Marcus Hughes to give Mayville state a 14-13 lead. But two runs from Valley City State in the top of the 9th would be enough to give them the victory.

On the last home game on the year and on senior night, the Comets would throw and combined no-hitter.
Jared McCorrister got the scoring started for the Comets in the bottom of the 1st with a double scoring
Marcus Hughes.
Mayville state would score again in the 6th inning to extend their lead thanks to a McCorrister single and a
Kole Jessamine two-run home-run. The two pitchers combining for the no hitter were
Derek Palmiere getting the win and
Jack Patten coming in for the save.
