Dickinson, N.D. - Mayville State Comets Baseball hit the road west to Dickinson for the 2nd time this month. The Comets were set to host the Blue Hawks for the NSAA Conference opener, but mother nature would have different plans and send the Comets on the road.

Comets would get off to a slow start in game one, falling 4-1 but would bounce back quickly in game two and come out with a 7-6 win over the Blue Hawks. 

Game 1 L 4-1
- Kevin Conway kicked the series off with a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the first to give the Comets an early 1-0 lead
- Things were quiet for both teams until the Blue Hawks hit a 2 out 1 RBI single in the top of the 4th to tie the game 1-1
- The Comets wouldn't find another hit throughout the game, and the Blue Hawks were able to tack on 2 runs in the top of the 5th and one more in the top of the 7th to take the game 4-1
- Mayville State had just 3 hits in the game
- Kevin Conway with a solo home run, Chris Shopbell with a triple and Quinn Pershing with a single 
- The Comets were able to draw 4 walks, but wouldn't be able to capitalize 
- Garret Lundmark started on the mound, going 6 innings, giving up 6 hits, 3 runs & 3 walks, he had a season high of 8 strike outs 
- Jake Hutter came in to close in the 7th inning, going 1 full inning, giving up 2 hits and 1 run

Game 2 W 7-6
- The Comets find the bats early, scoring 6 runs on 5 hits in the bottom of the 1st to get out to a 6-0 lead
- Things would be quiet for both teams, until the 3rd where the Blue Hawks hit a 2 out RBI single to get on the board
- Derek Palmiere would go three up three down in both the 4th and 5th innings
- Back to back walks by Palmiere in the 6th brought Jack Patten to the mound
- Blue Hawks would immediately hit a 3 run home run to make it a 6-4 ball game in the top of the 6th
- Dickinson tacks on 2 more runs in the top of the 7th to tie the game 6-6; Jack Wold comes in for Patten & gets out of a 2 out bases loaded jam
- In the bottom of the 8th, Kevin Conway gets to first on a single & Avery Kirkup would come in to pinch run
- Kirkup stole second bringing Cameron Goff to the plate
- Goff would hit a 1 out single to center field to give the Comets the lead 7-6
- Wold would hold off the Blue Hawks in the 9th and get the W
- Mayville State found base runners in all 8 innings, had 13 hits and had zero errors
- Kevin Conway, Cameron Goff, Carson Lundmark, Quinn Pershing & Jack McQueen had 2 hits each
