Alex grew up in the small town of Sebeka on a Dairy Farm with his Dad and Mom Mark and Mary Beth, And his siblings Tyler, Emily and Katianne. He was a three sport athlete playing football, basketball, and baseball while attending Sebeka High School. After High school Alex went to Fergus Falls Community College for two years before transferring to Mayville State University.

Achievements: In Alex’s Senior year of high school he competed in two different Minnesota state tournaments in Basketball and Baseball earning all-tournament team honors in both and being a part of the first high school baseball game played on Target Field, while his teams took runner-up in both tournaments. In his final year at the Fergus Falls junior college him and his team set a school record for number of wins in one season. Alex plays his summer ball with the Class C Nimrod Gnats Minnesota Amateur baseball team.
