He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and moved back and forth between Hawaii and Georgia. He graduated from Lahainaluna HS in Lahaina, Maui. He also attended Chapel Hill HS in Douglasville, GA. He is in his second year at Mayville State University, studying sports management. His lifetime goal is to start a non-profit organization to help young athletes from financially unstable families better themselves.
