As a Comet:

2024-25: played in 22 games averaging 3.5 points per game and 2.1 rebounds a game with a total of   78 points and 47 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 blocks, and 8 steals. 

2023-24: Played in 7 games, averaging 8.9 minutes. He averaged 8.1 points per game, with a total of 57 for the season. In addition, he racked up 4 steals, 3 assists, and 23 rebounds. His season high was against St. Boniface, scoring a season-high 16 points, making 8 of 12 field goal attempts, and gaining 2 steals. 

Academically, Michaelson was recognized as a Daktronics Scholar-Athlete and been on the Dean’s List every semester.

Before MSU:

Michaelson attended Park Rapids Area High School in Park Rapids, MN. He excelled in football, basketball, and baseball, playing each sport for four years. Nick was named Basketball MVP three times in high school and served as captain for all 3 sports.

He is the son of Jen and Brian Michaelson and has three siblings: Rilee, Allie, and Nolan.
