Coach Will Osborn brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role as an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Mayville State University. With a proven track record of success and a passion for developing both individual players and cohesive team dynamics, Coach Osborn is dedicated to helping his athletes reach their full potential both on and off the court.
Before joining Mayville State, Coach Osborn served as the Head Assistant Coach at Oklahoma Panhandle State University during the 2022-2023 season. His time at Oklahoma Panhandle State allowed him to enhance his coaching skills, build strong relationships with athletes, and contribute to the team's success. This also allowed Will the opportunity to provide training for the NAIA leading scorer for the 2022 – 2023 season.
Prior to his tenure at Oklahoma Panhandle State, Coach Osborn served as an Assistant Coach at Tabor College in Kansas during the 2021-2022 season. He played a vital role in creating a positive and competitive environment, fostering player development, and assisting in strategic game planning.
Coach Osborn's coaching journey began after a successful college playing career. As a full scholarship athlete, he showcased his skills first at Central Arizona College before continuing his collegiate career as a full scholarship athlete at NCAA D2 Georgian Court University in New Jersey. At Georgian Court, Coach Osborn left an indelible mark on the program by breaking the school's 3-point record, demonstrating his ability to excel both individually and as a team player.
Prior to his transition into college coaching, Coach Osborn gained valuable experience managing, training, and coaching student-athletes at The Hoop Academy in Dallas, TX. This experience allowed him to develop a deep understanding of player development, skill enhancement, and the importance of fostering a positive and supportive environment.
Coach Osborn's expertise lies in building strong team dynamics and utilizing his skills as an expert trainer. He believes in the power of hard work, discipline, and dedication, and instills these values in his players.
