Mayville State University Athletics

Darius is a 2023 graduate of William Allen High School in Allentown, PA. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, he moved to Pennsylvania during high school and began his basketball career in 11th grade, playing two years of varsity basketball. Despite the late start, he earned multiple honors, including Athlete of the Year and Morning Call Player of the Week.

After high school, he played two seasons of junior college basketball — first at Odessa College, then at Shelton State Community College where he appeared in 28 games, starting 22, averaging 7.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. His standout performances included 27 points against Coastal Alabama South, 15 points and 8 rebounds vs. Jones College, and 6 blocks vs. East Georgia State.

Off the court, Darius is pursuing a degree in accounting. He values leadership, storytelling, and motivating others, and has ambitions of balancing athletics with professional development.

He is the son of Donell Brant and Charlene Wimms and has two brothers, Terrard and Jo’Siah. He is also the proud father of his son, Khyri.
