Biography
Before MSU:
Kaniel is a 2025 graduate from Poplar High School in Poplar, Montana where he played 4 years of varsity basketball being a team captain for three of them and earning all-conference 2 years in a row and all state his senior year. His team made it to divisonal’s all 4 years and the State B Tournament his junior year. Kaniel also participated in Cross Country, Football, Track, and Golf. In track he made it to state for both years that he participated for triple jump. He was also an all-state golfer and now he is on the Mayville State Golf team as well.
Off the court he was part of National Honor Society and Student Body Vice President for Student Council and graduated top 10 in his class.
Kaniel is the son of Griffin Ricker and Adriann Buckles. He has 5 siblings, Quinn Sutherland, Grady Ricker, John Smoker, Zael Ricker, Kaisley Ricker. Kaniel plans to major in Psychology and be a Therapist
