He began his collegiate career at Bethune-Cookman University (NCAA Division I) in 2022–23, where he appeared in 3 games. At Casper, Kuon appeared in 32 games, averaging 5.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 0.9 steals per game in 14.5 minutes, while shooting 46% from the field, 31% from three, and 76% from the free-throw line. In conference play, he raised his averages to 6.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. He also earned his Associate of General Studies degree while at Casper.
After a brief tenure at Carroll College, Kuon took a gap year in 2024–25 before continuing his career at Mayville State.
