Biography
As a Comet:
2023-24: Played in 7 games, averaging 8.9 minutes. He averaged 8.1 points per game, with a total of 57 for the season. In addition, he racked up 4 steals, 3 assists, and 23 rebounds. His season high was against St. Boniface, scoring a season-high 16 points, making 8 of 12 field goal attempts, and gaining 2 steals. Academically, Michaelson was recognized as a Daktronics Scholar-Athlete and made it on the Dean’s List.
Before MSU:
Michaelson attended Park Rapids Area High School in Park Rapids, MN. He excelled in football, basketball, and baseball, playing each sport for four years. Nick was named Basketball MVP three times in high school and served as captain for both the football and baseball teams.
He is the son of Jen and Brian Michaelson and has three siblings: Rilee, Allie, and Nolan.
