Emily Haines enters her first year as a graduate assistant softball coach at Mayville State University after finishing her career as a Comet in the 2024 season. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge into her new role where she will work with our pitching staff.
Haines played under head Comets softball Coach, Jordan Olson, for 4 seasons at Doane University (GPAC - NAIA) where she was a consistent pitcher for the Tigers. After graduating in 2023 from Doane with her Bachelors in Education, she transferred to Mayville State University where she started her master's degree in education and played her 5th year (due to COVID).
During her time as a Comet, Haines was a vital role in the pitching staff where she got 23 starts in the circle. She lead the Comets in innings pitched with 136. She struck out 61 and had a batting average against of .294.
Haines is originally from Folsom, California and where she went to Casa Roble High School.
