Megan Elliott enters her second year as an assistant coach at Mayville State University. Elliott is the primary recruiter on the coaching staff and also works with hitting and the infield.Â
Elliott joined the Comets staff in 2024 after a stellar senior season at Mayville State She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge into her new role where she works primarily with hitting and is the Comets Softball main recruiter.
Elliott played under head Comets softball Coach, Jordan Olson, for 4 seasons at Doane University (GPAC - NAIA) where she played first base and was a key member of the Tigers' line up. After graduating in 2023 from Doane with her Bachelors in Exercise Science she transferred to Mayville State University where she started her master's degree in education and played her 5th year (due to COVID).Â
During her time as a Comet, Elliott broke the record for hits in a single season, getting her 55th hit vs. Dickinson State University. She ended up with 63 hits on the season, started all 47 games, racked up 6 home runs, 10 doubles and had a batting average of .420. Elliott was named NSAA First Team All-Conference, NSAA 2024 New Comer of the Year & named to the 2024 NSAA Gold Glove Team at first base.Â
Elliott is originally from Simi Valley, California and where she went to Royal High School. She completed her master's degree in education from Mayville State University in the spring of 2025. Elliott resides in Mayville with her dog Robbie. She also has a brother, Trevor, who is a sophomore at Mayville State.
