Biography

Before MSU:
Mattea is a 2026 graduate of Hazen High School out of Hazen, North Dakota where she played varsity softball for 6 years. She was on the golf team, ran cross country and played basketball. She was named Golden Glove x3 and Silver Slugger x1 (softball) and was All-Region x3 (golf). She was the North Dakota Youth Tour Essay Winner in 2024 and was an honor student at Hazen HS. She plays softball for the Mandan Nitro travel ball organization under Josh Schaner.

She is the daughter of Lindsey & Brent and has three siblings - Abby, Hadley & Elleri. Mattea plans to major in Allied Health at Mayville State.
