Before MSU:
Skylar comes from Rochester Community & Technical College. She was a two year starter for the Yellowjackets, primarily playing in the in the outfield & pitched. Beckel was given the MCAC Elite Team Award in 2024. She made South All-Division Second Team Softball and was named to the All-Academic Team Softball in 2024. Most recently, she was named South All-Division First Team & give the MCAC Elite Team Award Softball for the 2025 season.

2025 (As a Yellowjacket): Started 34 of 36 games played by the Yellowjackets. She had a batting average of .402 where she racked up 37 hits in 92 at-bats. She recorded 11 doubles, 3 triples and 1 home run while driving in 29 RBIs (team leader) and scoring 37 runs. She was 10-12 in stolen bases and struck out just 4 times on the season. Defensively, she pitched 45.2 innings, striking out 47 batters and nabbing 3 wins in 9 games started. In the outfield, she had 34 put outs with 11 assists, she had a fielding % of .918.

2024 (As a Yellowjacket): Played in 38 games and had a batting average of .289 where she had 35 hits in 121 at-bats. She had 10 doubles and 3 triples driving in 25 RBIs. She was 18-21 in stolen bases and had a fielding % of .891 with 35 put outs and 14 assists.

Before RCTC:
Skylar is a 2023 graduate of PEM (Plainview-Elgin-Millville) Community High School in Plainview, Minnesota where she played volleyball and softball all 4 years. She was a 3x Varsity Letter in Softball & 2x Varsity Letter in Volleyball 2021-2022.

Beckel was 3x Academic All-Conference in both softball and volleyball. She was Honorable Mention All-Conference Team in volleyball and won the Academic All State Award Volleyball in 2022. She received the MFCA All-Section Softball Team Award & All-State Academic Award in 2023. She also played the Minnesota Elite travel softball organization.

Skylar is the daughter of Bryce & Angie Beckel and has one brother, Brady. She plans to major in business management.
