Biography
As a Comet:
2025-26 Season: In her freshman season, Whitney started in 13 of her 26 games played, averaging 24.7 minutes a game. She scored 211 points in the season, averaging 8.1 ppg. She recorded 22 steals, 54 rebounds and drained 35 threes.
Before MSU:
Whitney is a 2025 graduate of Legacy HS in Bismarck, N.D. where she played basketball and ran track all four years. She lettered in track x4 and in basketball x3. She was a x3 member of the National Honor Society and was Valedictorian of her class.Â
She is the daughter of Penny & Jesse Welk and has two brothers, Luke & Cole. She plans to major in Fitness & Wellness at MSU.
