Mayville State University Athletics

As a Comet: 

2023-24: Named First-Team All Conference, surpassed 1,000 points and was a Daktronics Scholar Athlete. She started in 28 of 29 games, averaging 29 minutes. Averaged 15.4 points, scoring a career high of 448 points. She had 7 games with over 20 points and tallied 54 steals, 64 assists and 93 rebounds on the season.

2022-23: Started in all 30 games averaging 29.5 minutes. She averaged 11.8 points racking up 354 throughout the season. She tabbed 55 steals, 79 assists and 79 rebounds. Had a career high in points against Valley City, scoring 26. Hughes was named Second-Team All Conference and was a Daktronics Scholar Athlete. 

2021-22: Played in 27 games, averaged 24 minutes. She scored 259 points, averaging 9.6 points per game. She had 32 steals and 51 assists. She had a season high of 23 points against Presentation. She was also a Daktronics Scholar Athlete. 

Hughes is a 2021 graduate from Thompson High School where she played basketball, volleyball and softball for 5 years. She was volleyball's Region 2 Senior Athlete of the Year, basketball's Region 2 Senior Athlete of the Year, the North Dakota Class B Senior Athlete of the Year and a Miss Basketball Finalist. She also was Sportscaster Female Athlete of the Year of North Dakota.

She is the daughter of Jeremy and Beth, has one brother, Marcus, who played baseball for four years at Mayville State and graduated in 2024. She also has been a 3 year starter for Mayville State Softball.
