The Mayville State University men's basketball team came out on the losing end of a tough conference road trip this weekend as the Comets fell to Dickinson State University and Minot State University.

MSU fell to Dickinson by a score of 75-59 on January 7th and fell to Minot State 82-53 on January 8th.

Shavontae Samuels led the Comets in scoring against Dickinson with 21 points on 10-of-21 from the field. Ross Aman finished with 16 points and 9 rebounds and Sean Greene added 12 points in the contest.

Mayville never got on track against Minot track, trailing by 16 at halftime before the Beavers ran away with the game in the second half.

Sean Greene and Shavontae Samuels each scored 14 for the Comets. Ross Aman led MSU in rebounding with 9 boards.

Mayville State is now 5-10 overall and 0-3 in Dakota Athletic Conference play. They will host Black Hills State and South Dakota Tech this weekend at the Lewy Lee Fieldhouse.
