Black Hills State University shot 61 percent from the field in the first half to jump out to a big first-half lead and kept things going in the second half as the Yellowjackets defeated the Comets 91-70 in the first round of the DAC playoffs on Wednesday.
BHSU was 19-for-31 from the field in the first half and 6-of-9 from three-point range. Will John Johnson and Cain Atkinson led the Yellowjackets with 18 points apiece, Clay Portorff and Tanner Adler had 13 each, and Luke Enos added 12.
Wiley Jiles knocked down 7-of-12 three-point attempts on his way to a game-high 23 points.
Ross Aman and
Shavontae Samuels each finished with 12 points in the contest.
