The Comets and Vikings met for the second time this year in men's basketball on Saturday, February 4th, 2012 in Valley City, North Dakota. The Comets came up on the wrong side of the scoreboard in the secon match-up as they lost 73-48.

The Vikings had four players in double figures as their balanced attack kept the Comets on the ropes during the game.

Gus Kueber led the Comets with 16 points and eight rebounds. Bryen Pyles followed Kueber with 14 points and five rebounds. 

As a team the Comets shot just 27% from the floor (12-for-44) in the game. Mayville State did do a good job getting to the free throw line as were 20-for-29 from the foul line.

Mayville Statedidn't have anything goin offensively in this game and couldn't get back into the game after halftime. The Comets were down just ten at the break, but the Vikings had an offensive explosion in the second half as they scored 46 points to close out the game.

The Comets next action will be in a week as they travel to Dickinson to take on the Bluehawks once again. The Game is set to start at 7:30 p.m.
