The Mayville State Comets took their 19-2 record to the road on Wednesday, February 6th to take on Dakota State University. The Comets came out firing on all cylinders starting the game on a 22-0 run. The defense held Dakota State in check as they went into halftime with a commanding 44-18 lead.

The second half was much the same. The Comets stingy defense held Dakota State to shooting 25% from the floor and 12% from 3 for the game. Offensively the Comets shot 44% from the floor and 38% from 3 cruising to a 77-43 victory. 

The Comets were led in scoring by Hailey Longtin who had  a game high 23 points. Marcisa McMillan added another double double to her resume finishing with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Samantha Heier chipped in 10 points for the Comets.  

Mayville State now has a record of 20-2 and is #18 in the NAIA Poll. The Comets will take the floor again at home on Friday, February 8th against Oglala Lakota College. Game time is set for 5:30 pm.
