Mayville, N.D. – The Mayville State University Women's Basketball team allowed 22 points this afternoon against Oak Hills Christian to move to 6-1.

For the second straight day, the Comets started fast as they took a 14-2 run that lasted nine minutes of the first quarter. MSU would only allow only four points in the first quarter and take a 13-point lead. The Comets dominated the second quarter as well, as they scored 24-points in the quarter and took a 31-point lead heading into the intermissions.

Grace Cote hit back-to-back three-pointers during an 8-0 run that lasted over three minutes in the third quarter. The Comets took a 42-point lead heading into the final quarter. MSU would allow a season-low two points in the final quarter to secure the 81-22 victory. Mayville State would finish the game shooting 55.7 percent from the field, 28.6 percent from the 3-point line, 45 rebounds, and 22 assists on 34 field goals.

MSU would also finish with 10 steals, five blocks, 28 points off turnovers, 47 bench points, and four-second chance points. Grace Cote and Grace Gerads led the Comets with 14 points. Gerads also tallied eight rebounds and one assist. Danneka Voegeli was the other Comets in double figures with 10 points, one rebound, and three blocks.

Jordan Zrust and Kayla Rocholl tallied a total of 10 points, nine assists, two steals, and eight rebounds. Stephanie Miller scored seven points off the bench, four rebounds, three rebounds, and two assists. Taylor Reilly and Sarah Bickford each scored six points off the bench.

The Comets will be back in action Friday night as they travel to Dickinson State to face the Blue Hawks. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 pm MST/6:30 CST.
