Mayville, N.D. – The Mayville State Women's Basketball team defeated the Jimmies on Tuesday night by a final score of 74-56.

How It Happened:
The game was tied at 9 in the first quarter when MSU went on an 8-2 run to finish the quarter to take a 17-11 lead after one quarter.
After Jamestown trailed by as many as 10 in the second quarter, MSU was only up five before an 8-0 to finish the half and take a 13-point lead heading into intermission.
Jamestown would trim the lead to six with 3:33 left in the third quarter but MSU would finish the quarter strong 9 points of the quarter and would extend the lead to 16 heading into the final quarter.
The Comets would not allow the Jimmies to get back into the game and would cruise to a 74-58. MSU finished the game shooting 44.1 percent from the field, 35.5 percent from behind the 3-point line, 28 points in the paint, 15 points off turnovers, and pulled in 34 rebounds.
