Bellevue, Neb. – The Mayville State Comets used a strong first half on Friday to hold off Bruins late run Friday.

How It Happened:
Mayville State could not of asked for a better start going on a 16-1 run that lasted over the first 5:30 minutes of the game. Mayville State would be up 23-7 after one quarter of play.
The Comets continued to dominate in the second quarter as they extended the lead to 23 multiple times in the second quarter and took that 23-point lead into halftime.
The Bruins made there run in the third quarter as the Comets were outscored 22-12 but still held a 13-point lead.
Bellevue continued to close the gap and would get it to eight with six minutes left but that is the closest that the Bruins would get, as the Comets would beat the Bruins by 10 points.
