Mayville, N.D. - Mayville State University Comets Volleyball played their final game of the regular season Saturday afternoon hosting the No. 6 Bellevue Bruins.

The Bruins explosive offense would shut down the Comets in 3 sets (10-25, 23-25, 15-25) giving them the NSAA Regular Season Champs title over Jamestown.

The second set of the day was the best showing for Mayville State. They went back and forth with 6 different lead changes and 13 tied scores. 

Madison McKinnon led the team in kills with 9 
Samantha Passa had 7 kills and 9 digs
Lindsey Nyhagen racked up 19 assists and had 6 digs
Desidy Schwanke recorded 7 kills

Mayville State finished 6th overall in the NSAA conference finishing 8-18 overall and 1-9 in conference play.

The Comets will head to Dakota State University on Saturday, November 9th taking on the Trojans at 1:00pm for the opening round of the NSAA Volleyball Postseason Tournament.

Dakota State finished 3rd overall in the NSAA and took two matches from the Comets in conference play.

The winner will advance to the semifinals round on Friday, Nov. 15, in Bellevue and play the No. 2 seed Jamestown at 5pm.
