Valley City, N.D. - Mayville State Comets Men's Basketball traveled down the road to Valley City where they took on the Vikings in a NSAA conference match up.

As 10 different Comets contributed to the scoring on the night, Mayville State was able to shut down the Vikings and get the win 93-82.

1st Half:
- Darren Jones got on the board first in the opening play of the game
- The first 7 minutes of the game was low scoring for both teams as the score was just 11-7 Comets
- Midway through the half, the Comets & Vikings would go back and forth in scoring 
- With 1:30 remaining in the half John White, Jr. drives in the lane to put the Comets up by their largest lead of 15
- Comets head into the locker room lead 46-34

2nd Half:
- Justin Fisher scores down low, putting the Comets up by 18 
- Artis Chapman nails a three, Comets lead 70-48 with 13 minutes remaining
- At the 10 minute mark, Mayville State led the Comets by 28
- The Vikings would chip away in the final ten minutes, cutting their deficit to just 11
- In the final 5 minutes, the Comets score only 5 points, and the Vikings are able to put up 19
- Despite the late push by the Vikings, the Comets get the win 93-82

- Trey Swayzer - 15 points, 3 rebounds
- London Williams - 14 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists
- Justin Fisher - 11 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists

- 37-74 from the field (50%)
- 5-15 from behind the arc (33.3%)
- 14-27 from the line (51.9%)

Mayville State improves to 12-6 overall and 3-2 in NSAA play. The Comets head to Jamestown, Friday December 17th to take on the Jimmies at 7:30pm.
