Valley City, N.D. - Mayville State Comets Men's Basketball traveled down the road to Valley City where they took on the Vikings in a NSAA conference match up.
As 10 different Comets contributed to the scoring on the night, Mayville State was able to shut down the Vikings and get the win 93-82.
1st Half:

Darren Jones got on the board first in the opening play of the game
- The first 7 minutes of the game was low scoring for both teams as the score was just 11-7 Comets
- Midway through the half, the Comets & Vikings would go back and forth in scoringÂ
- With 1:30 remaining in the half
John White, Jr. drives in the lane to put the Comets up by their largest lead of 15
- Comets head into the locker room lead 46-34
2nd Half:

Artis Chapman nails a three, Comets lead 70-48 with 13 minutes remaining
- At the 10 minute mark, Mayville State led the Comets by 28
- The Vikings would chip away in the final ten minutes, cutting their deficit to just 11
- In the final 5 minutes, the Comets score only 5 points, and the Vikings are able to put up 19
- Despite the late push by the Vikings, the Comets get the win 93-82
