Mayville, N.D. - Mayville State Comets Women's Basketball returned home Friday night after over a month on the road.
The Comets hosted the Dickinson State Blue Hawks where an explosive second quarter led them to their first NSAA conference win of the season.
1st Quarter: Comets 14, Dickinson State 13
- Dickinson State is the first to score
- Alex Page gets the first and second bucket for the Comets
- Mackenzie Hughes closes the quarter out with a 3 pointer

2nd Quarter: Comets 25, Dickinson State 7
- Hughes opens the 3rd quarter with a swish behind the arc to put the comets up 17-13
- Dickinson State does not score in the first 5 minutes of the quarter
- Hughes scores 8 points in the quarter going 2-3 from beyond the arc
- Comets head into the locker room leading the Blue Hawks 39-20
3rd Quarter: Comets 15, Dickinson State 16
- Dickinson scores back to back threes to cut their deficit to 13
