Comets WBB earns No. 2 Seed in NSAA Postseason Tournament

Box Score Mayville, N.D - Mayville State Comets Women's Basketball hosted the Valley City State University Vikings Friday night for their last regular season game of the season. The Comets also would celebrate senior night with five seniors.

A strong second half by the Vikings resulted in a 76-67 win over Mayville State, putting the Comets at 18-9 overall and 8-7 in North Star play. Officially the Comets have locked down the No. 2 seed in the NSAA standings and will have a first round bye in the conference tournament. 

This NSAA postseason conference tournament starts this Wednesday as the quarterfinals will consist of Dickinson at Jamestown and Valley City at Bellevue. Wednesday's quarterfinals winners will advance to Saturday's semifinals contests. The winner of DiSU-UJ will travel to Mayville State for an 11 a.m. game.
