Kansas City, MO - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced the 2024-25 NAIA Women's Basketball All-America Teams Monday. All of the All-America selections are made by the NAIA Women's Basketball All-America Committee and are comprised of first, second and third teams.

Mayville State Women's Basketball senior, Mackenzie Hughes, was named to the NAIA All-American 3rd Team. The Thompson, N.D. native had a record breaking season & career as a Comet. She surpassed 1,500 career points this season with a career high of 37 points against Valley City State. 

This year, Hughes averaged 20.9 ppg, tallying 586 total points. Of those points, she nailed 60 shots from behind the arc and shot 45.1% from the field. Hughes didn't just shoot the ball, she tallied 108 assists, 73 steals and 150 rebounds. 

Mackenzie landed in the Top 50 in the nation in 6 different categories and was 21st in the national for total points and 8th in the national for points per game this season.
