Mayville, N.D. - The Mayville State Comets basketball game hosted their two final games of the 2025-26 season Friday & Saturday night. 

Rocky would take down the Comets 95-67 while Carroll 87-33. Rocky Mountain is ranked 23rd in the nation while Carroll is ranked 25th.

vs. Rocky:
The Comets started the game off strong, leading the Bears 26-25 going into the 2nd quarter. They were 8-16 from the field and 5-8 from the 3 point line.

Heading into the half, the Comets would trail by 1 after another strong quarter of defense on both ends.

In the 3rd quarter, the Bears would pull away, outscoring the Comets 30-9 and going 7-16 in the field. The Comets struggled with any offense, shooting 4-14 from the field and just 1-7 from behind the arc.

The the Comets would battle in the 4th quarter, the Bears would outscore them 26-20 and would take the win.

vs. Carroll
Mayville State would have their best quarter of the night in the first, where they would trail just 12-23 after the first 10 minutes.

The Saints had a strong second quarter, scoring 17 points and holding the Comets to just 4 points .

After the break, Carroll would really find rhythm and outscore the comes 30-9 in the third quarter. They would then hold the Comets to just 8 4th quarter points, ending their 2025-26 season.
