Mayville, N.D. - The Mayville State University Football team heads to Waldorf University on Saturday to face the Warriors. Kick-off is scheduled for 1:00 PM from Forest City, Iowa. The Comets are back in action this Saturday after a loss to Dickinson State on September 19th by a final score of 26-51. Mayville State and Waldorf already played once this season with the Warriors picking up a 40-50 victory. MSU is averaging 33.0 points per game, with 85.0 yards rushing, and 306.5 yards passing. The Comet defense is allowing 50.5 points per game, 203.5 yards rushing, and 288.5 yards passing. Creighton Pfau leads the Comet Offense with 613 passing yards, 50.6 completion percentage, and seven touchdown this season. Elijah Roundtree is currently leading the MSU receivers with 239 yards on 10 catches and three touchdowns. Newcomer Maalik Flowers has 11 catches, 136 yards, one touchdown and averaging 68.0 yards per game. Sirr Daye is the leading rusher for Mayville State with 67 yards on 14 attempts, for 4.8 yards per carry. Austin DeLaroque led the Comet defense with 22 tackles and one interception. Second on the team in is Josiah Walker with 20 tackles. He also has 4.0 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. Mayville State was selected sixth place in the NSAA Preseason Coaches' Poll.

The Warriors enter the matchup with the Comets with a 3-1 record. Waldorf defeated MSU on the opening game of the weekend 50-40.
