Read below on what head coach Katie Aasen had to say about her seniors:
"This group of seniors has persevered through some pretty life changing challenges, and they did it together. Each one of them leave behind a legacy and have contributed to making comet volleyball great. It never mattered what challenge they face or role they were given, they not only overcame and embraced it, they exceeded any and all expectations."
Elora and Natalie are notorious leaders, but it was who they had leading next to them that truly made the experience so special and great.
Thyra is the epitome of "hard work pays off" and she leads by such an amazing example. She is a fighter and there is no one who expects more from her than she does herself.
Calyn is tough, determined, and never settles, but she approaches every day, practice, and game determined to take on any task or role that her team needs. She is steady and level headed, consistent and smart and supportive 100% of the time.
Payton is sweet, but unapologetically resilient and a positive force on the court and Kylee is the glue that holds them all together. Kylee is dedicated to challenging her team and holding them accountable and is a great role model for those around her.
Nicole's biggest supporters are her fellow seniors, she is a gamer, she is competitive, and she has that 'never satisfied' mentality. She's incredibly driven and the way she holds herself accountable is infectious.
They are a group who loves playing on their home court, so I know every last moment was embraced but I also know they are just getting started. They have an army behind them who want to help them go as far as possible, which speaks volumes on just how great of leaders they are and have been."
