Mayville, N.D. — The Mayville State Comets men's basketball team continued to make an offensive statement with another win on their home court Sunday afternoon, throttling the visiting St. Boniface team 107–54.

The Comets wasted no time setting the tone, racing out to a 62–16 halftime lead behind hot shooting and consistent defense. The Comets shot 67.5% from the field in the first half, including 50% from beyond the arc. They also forced St. Boniface to 20 turnovers before the break. 

Junior guard Isaiah Smith led the offensive with 20 points on a near perfect 9 for 10 shooting performance, he also added four steals and three blocks. Junior Christian Bowen-Webb followed closely with 18 points, drilling four from deep. Point guard Malik Siggers added 14 points, 11 assists, and five steals, recording a double-double in just 22 minutes of play.

The Comets' depth was also performed well as Gaebreal Perry added 10 points off the bench, while Noah Brown and Bol Chuol each chipped in 8 and 6 respectively. In total, Mayville's bench contributed 47 points. 

Mayville State finished the afternoon shooting 62.2% from the floor and 48% from three point range. The Comets also out rebounded St. Boniface 31–27 and held a commanding 55 point lead at their largest margin.

The Comets sweep St. Boniface in the same fashion as they did last weekend against Providence to send Mayville State to 4-0 to start off their 2025-26 campaign. They will be tested next week as they host GPAC foe Briar Cliff on Friday at 7:30pm in the Lewy Lee.
