Mayville, N.D. - The Mayville State University Men's Basketball team hosted the Jamestown Jimmies Saturday night.
Despite
John White, Jr. nailing 7 three pointers, the Comets fell to the Jimmies 71-78.
1st Half:
- After 7 minutes of play, the score is knotted at 12
- Jimmies largest lead of the night so far was by 8 with 11 minutes remaining
- 5 timely Comet threes would put Mayville State up 34-29 with just under 2 minutes left
- Jimmies tie things up 34-34 heading into the half

John White, Jr. was 3-5 from behind the arc racking up 9 points

Justin Fisher shot 4-7 from the field for 8 points, he also had 3 rebounds and 2 steals
2nd Half:
- After the first 10 minutes, the Jimmies led by 4, 54-50
- Jamestown's largest lead of the night was 11, after a dunk with 6:30 remaining
- Mayville State would be able to get within four multiple times but the Jimmies would hold them off getting the 78-71 victory over the Comets
- White, Jr. put up 17 points in the second half, he was 4-4 from the 3 point line, he had 7 on the night
The Comets now sit in 3rd place, 2 games ahead of Bellevue and 3 games back from Jamestown. They are 15-10 overall and 6-6 in conference. They will head to Dakota State next Friday and then to Bellevue on Saturday.
