ABERDEEN, S.D. – Mayville State dropped an exhibition contest to the Northern State University Wovles at the Wachs Center in Aberdeen, South Dakota on Monday, November 25, 2013.
NSU never trailed in the contest and held the Comets to under 30% shooting for the game which was the difference. Rachel Krogman led the Wolves with 23 points, 11 rebounds.
The Comets were led in scoring by
Sabrina Rude and
Hailey Longtin. The guards each scored 20 points and connected on six three-point shots each. Rude was also the team leader in rebounds with six in the game.
Sam Heier led the Comets with five assists in the game.
A scary moment for the team occurred in the first half when
Marcisa McMillan went down with what appeared to be a knee injury. No further information is available at this time, but the Comets finished the game without the services of the reigning conference player of the year.
The Comets are 5-0 in 2013 and will be traveling to Dickinson, ND this week to take on Rocky Mountain College on Friday, November 29, 2013 as well as a game with Dickinson State University on Saturday, November 30, 2013 as well.
