Mayville, N.D. – The Mayville State University Men's Basketball team will host Oak Hills Christian College for the first home game of the season Friday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM against the Wolfpack at the Lewy Lee Fieldhouse. Mayville State has adopted new fan restrictions for home events, make sure to read the guidelines below.
For home basketball games, head coaches will have a pass list of 50 spots (to exclude participants and game day personnel/administration) to fill. Outside of this, there will be no fans allowed at games. Fans will have to pay the admission charge unless they have a pass of some sort. All fans who enter MUST be on a coach's pass list. No fans for opposing teams will be admitted.
Quick Hit on the Comets:
The Comets will host the Wolfpack on Friday night at the Lewy Lee Fieldhouse for the first home game of the season. Mayville State defeated OHCC on October 27, picking up a 91-78 victory on the road. The Comets shot 59.7 percent from the field, 35.3 percent from the 3-point line, and 11-19 from the free-throw line. Defensively, MSU allowed 78.0 points, 37.1 field goal percentage, 25.0 percent from the 3-point line, and 31 rebounds.
Keiron Goodwin scored 21 points in the first game shooting 7-of-12 from the field, nine rebounds, and two assists.
Carl Snyder tallied 14 points, shooting 75.0 percent from the field, three rebounds, and one block.
Xavier Towne recorded 12 points in the victory, tallied three rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block.
John Ketchel was the last Comet in double-figures with 11 points, five assists, and two steals.
Thomas Gieske scored eight points off the bench with eight points and eight rebounds.

The Wolfpack head into Friday's matchup with a 2-2 record defeating Mount Marty on October 30th by a final score of 82-81. Oak Hills is averaging 82.0 points per game, 34.8 rebounds, shooting 42.1 percent from the field, 31.0 percent from behind the 3-point line, and 7.7 assists per game. Doug Merida has a team-high 26.2 points per game, with 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 12 steals. Alante Coward is second on the team in scoring, averaging 15.5 points, shooting 47.0 percent, 3.7 rebounds, and seven steals. The last player in double figures for the Wolfpack is DJ Johnson averaging 13.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 54.0 percent from the field, and 12 steals.
