Comet Softball drops two close games to Trojans Saturday

Madison, S.D. – The Mayville State Softball team dropped two close conference games to the Trojans on Saturday. The two teams will finish the weekend series Sunday afternoon.

How It Happened: Game One
The Comets scored their only two runs of the game in the third inning on a rbi triple from Duval that scored Roeges followed by an error by the right fielder that allowed Duval to score.
The Trojans would score two runs in the bottom of the third inning to tie the game at two and would score the winning run in the sixth inning to take game one of the series.

How It Happened: Game Two
The Mayville State Comets started the scoring in the top of the first inning on a single from Ontiveros that scored Duval who scored on an error by the left fielder.
Dakota State would score one run in the bottom of the first inning and three runs in the third inning to take a 3-run lead on the Comets.
The Comets would score their second run of the game in the fifth inning on a single from Duval that scored Hughes.
