Billings, Mont. - Mayville State Volleyball took on three future Frontier opponents at the North Star Frontier Crossover last weekend hosted by Rocky Mountain College. The Comets went 0-3 on a tough weekend on the road.
"This last weekend we saw a lot of good competition. Traveling out to Montana was important for our team to see what next year will look like," said head coach

Game 1 vs. Montana State University - Northern L 0-3 (29-31, 18-25, 18-25)
The MSU-Northern Skylights took down the Comets in three sets.
Samantha Passa lead the way with another double double with 11 kills and 17 digs and also recorded 3 blocks.
Madison McKinnon - 8 kills
Andrea Majchrzak - 6 blocks
Lindsey Nyhagen - 15 assists
Noelle Erickson - 15 assistsÂ
Tori Richter - 11 digs
Game 2 vs. University of Providence L 0-3 (10-25, 12-25, 24-26)
The Comets fell to the University of Providence Argos in three sets.

Game 3 vs. Rocky Mountain College L 1-3 (11-25, 22-25, 25-21, 18-25)
Mayville State fell to the Rocky Mountain Battlin' Bears in four sets.
"In our final match we were able to out block Rocky Mountain College. That is a piece of our game we are continuing to focus on," said Aasen. "
Samantha Passa also ended with a double double in the last match."
Passa had her second double double of the weekend with 12 kills and 18 digs, she also had one ace.Â

"Moving forward we know there is stuff we can be working on to prepare for the NSAA teams," added Aasen. " As a team, we are working oni being more consistent across the board."
The Comets hit the road Thursday and Friday for their final conference scheduled road games of the season.Â
Thursday the Comets will head to Dickinson State, the match is set for 7:00pm (CT).
Friday they will take on the University of Jamestown starting at 7:00pm in Jamestown.
