MAYVILLE, N.D. - Head women's basketball coach, Ryan Carpenter, and Comets Women's Basketball will be hosting an Elite Camp on August 17th.

The camp is for girls entering grades 9-12 and will cost $100 per athlete. The camp will run from 12:30pm to 5:30pm in the Lewy Lee Fieldhouse on the campus of Mayville State University. A free t-shirt is included in the camp.

"Players will get to experience many of the drills and skills that we have our players do," said Carpenter. "Athletes will get to participate in 5 v 5 games against other potential collegiate athletes. There will also be a 3 v 3 tournament and a three point contest."

Athletes that participate in the elite camp will also get to interact with current Comet women basketball players and coaches throughout the day. There will be an opportunity to tour campus and for a short Q and A with the coaching staff.

"I am excited to have such a talented group of recruits from North Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, and Oregon on campus to participate in Elite Camp and cant wait to see what the future of Comet Women's Basketball looks like," commented Carpenter.

When asked about his new team, Carpenter stated, "The girls have been in the gym and working out on their own all summer long. Collectively, they have put up thousands of shots, and I am looking forward to getting everyone on campus in the fall to see their individual growth."
